have we gone british?: apparently, because pop stars opinions on political events suddenly seems to matter enough to write articles about it. and if vinnie from less than jake and some guy from sister hazel don't know politics, who the hell does? i liked marilyn manson's very sensible reason to vote republican: because more republicans means more people to get pissed off at him. at least he's honest and doesn't make excuses. ricky martin, who wouldn't tell if he voted or not (which in pop star world means he didn't), thinks florida should "revote" - coinkidinkikly, ricky martin calls florida home.

and thanks from email...: good heavens, what is this? rapping presidents? i am so ashamed of the history channel right now.

got this from ally, who, according to the chain of forward, got it from mike. it's still funny, regardless of who i got it from.

i have only one comment...: does mark anthony look like the sort of person who would be able to assault anyone? he's so tiny.

so i guess being governor isn't really a heavy job...: jesse ventura has just signed on to be the commentator for the upcoming xfl league games. didn't he stop to think, yo, i have a job as governor. wouldn't doing this every single week take away from that job, as governor? isn't this is the wrong interests of the people? lawd.

so, like, yeah, spice girls have an album?: apparently. it debuted at 39 - 39! even geri halliwell's rather failed solo did better - and sold only 34,000 copies in the entire us. wicked bad, in other words. rodney jerkins, the producer, blames virgin for not promoting the album. a fair assessment, since i didn't know when it was even coming out until i stared it down in the middle of a record store, wondering, "why is this out already?", but is really just blame pushing. the thing has gotten the worst reviews of any spice girls album i've seen, and rodney jerkins's crappy production has alot to do with that. i mean, he blows. awful fierce. who did he think the album could possibly be marketed to? he's just bitter because failing with the spice girls means he won't get offered the really lucrative pop acts, the britneys and backstreet boys of the world.

sometimes tact is a good thing: i don't think that sir elton john will like reading this article and see his pricey auburn toupee referred to as "orange". though maybe he'll stop wearing the ridiculous thing...

ok, on this controversy, which i'm not going to even link to because it's so dumb. yes, i've read "deconstructing you've got blog", and i have this to say. of course it's right. that's not how people become popular. you don't become popular by being the wittiest, unless you're dennis miller, and i'm sure he wasn't popular in high school. you become popular by either flattering other people to death or you become popular by being cute or some combination thereof. you don't have to have the nicest design or the smartest webpage. get over it and move on. i'm sure you're not killing yourself over it in real life - or maybe you are. maybe the whole thesis to be found in this mess is that the people online who are crying about all this (on either side of the issue) are the people who are shattered by being unpopular in high school and have decided to use the web as a way to get popular.

i'm just like, was i the only person who couldn't place the name meg hourihan (apologies for spelling)? nothing against her, she seems very nice, it's just i don't pay much attention to these things.

For all of you, delicious hot chocolate mix you could make yourself:

25.6 ounce package nonfat dry milk
6 ounce jar of non-dairy plain powdered coffee creamer (do not use flavored!)
16 ounce package of chocolate drink mix (ie. Nestle Quik)
1 1/2 cups confectioners sugar
1/2 to whole bag mini-marshmallows

To make mix, put all ingredients except marshmallows in big bowl. Stir vigorously to mix all dry items. Add in 1/2 to full bag of marshmallows, depending on taste, and stir again. Store in airtight container, up to 6 months. To make hot chocolate from mix, fill mug 1/3 to 1/2 full with power, depending on taste. Add boiling water and stir.

Possible add ins to make it even tastier: Big marshmallows, Peppermint Schnapps, Kahlua, whipped cream, any combination therefore. Be creative, hot chocolate isn't as good plain as it is chock full of absolutely nutrition free crap!

Hope you enjoy. It really is delicious, and it's creamy because of the dry milk and sugar.

Britons smug: And Earth flat. News at 11.

I find it amusing that a country that still uses pencil and paper to do elections would make fun of us for having problems.

i know it's still cheap but...: i never get my mail on time. when i send mail, no one gets it in a timely fashion. should we really be paying more for this service?

so, yeah, about that beatles album: i guess people are getting sick of the remaining beatles plus yoko trying to continually cash in in a rolling stones-style "$64 million in the bank isn't enough" plea. their "new" album, 1, had exactly 15 people show up at midnight at the hmv to purchase it.
